Many people have this question that, can they earn an online law degree, the answer is yes. These days you can go for an online law degree if you don’t like the old-school traditional way of studying. But, before obtaining an online law degree you should ask yourself whether you want to practice law officially or you simply looking forward to some knowledge in law.
If you want to legally practice law in a particular state then you have to consider whether you will be willing to relocate yourself in California for some period of time.

The reason behind this is that, in order to get a license for practicing law legally, you have to clear the state’s bar examination, pass a character and fitness evaluation and pass an examination over legal ethics.

Presently California is the only state that allows students who have not attended accredited law schools to sit for the state bar exam, and there are no online law programs accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) for these kinds of purposes. After you practice law in California for several years, it is possible for you to relocate to some other state.

No online school is been accredited by the ABA but the State Bar Examiners in California have a committee of bar examiners who evaluate these online schools. The online law students are permitted to give exams only if they have completed and received at least eight hundred sixty-four hours of preparation each year from a registered online school.

There is much online law school available for you but if you want to clear the bar examination than you should look for those schools which teach the subject which is to be tested on the California bar. Some of the commonly tested subjects are Constitutional Law, Contracts, Property, Torts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Evidence, Wills, and Business Associations. And you should also keep this in mind that the online program gives you frequent tutorials, assignments, and feedback which will help you improve your legal writing.
